Remote Accountant (US GAAP/UK GAAP)

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Accountant to join our remote team. The successful candidate will manage daily accounting operations, ensure tax compliance, and deliver accurate financial reporting to support business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions, including expenses, revenue, and invoices in the general ledger.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP or UK GAAP/IFRS.
• Perform bank reconciliations, monitor accounts payable/receivable, and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
• Compute tax payments, prepare tax returns, and process payroll in line with local laws.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and expense monitoring to identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP or UK Accounting Principles (IFRS/UK GAAP).
• CPA (US) or ACCA/ACA/CIMA (UK) preferred.
• Excellent analytical ability, attention to detail, and ability to meet tight deadlines.
