Freelance Spanish-English Interpreter (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for experienced Spanish-English interpreters to provide medical and legal interpretation services remotely. The work includes over-the-phone (OPI), video remote interpreting (VRI) and scheduled sessions, allowing you to support critical communication from anywhere.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver accurate, real-time interpretation between Spanish and English for medical consultations, legal proceedings, and other high-stakes interactions.
• Handle over-the-phone and video remote interpreting assignments according to client schedules.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and other relevant privacy regulations.
• Document notes as required and ensure clear communication throughout each session.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 + years of professional interpretation experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in medical or legal domains (include details in your resume).
• Flexible availability for OPI, VRI, or scheduled appointments.
• Strong listening, note-taking and memory retention abilities.

Required skills

• Professional, HIPAA‑compliant setup with a wired USB headset featuring noise cancellation.
• Stable internet connection with at least 10 Mbps upload and 20 Mbps download speeds.
