About the role

The World Bank Group is seeking a driver to support its operations in Bissau, Guinea‑Bissau. This position is part of a three‑year assignment within the Western and Central Africa Region, providing essential transportation services for staff and project activities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide safe and reliable transportation for World Bank personnel, visitors, and equipment.
• Maintain the assigned vehicle(s) in good working order, including routine checks and basic upkeep.
• Follow scheduled routes and adhere to local traffic regulations and security protocols.

Required profile

• Fluent in Portuguese and English.
• Local candidate eligible for local recruitment.
• Willingness to commit to a three‑year term.

Required skills

• Valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle class.
