Driver (G-2) – Full-time – Bissau, Guinea-Bissau

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a reliable Driver (G-2) to provide safe and efficient transportation services in Bissau. The role supports UNICEF’s mission to protect children by ensuring staff and goods move securely and on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Operate UNICEF vehicles in compliance with local traffic laws and UN protocols.
• Perform routine vehicle care, maintenance checks, and ensure readiness for missions.
• Utilise digital tracking tools for trip documentation, reporting and emergency readiness.
• Support office operations during idle periods, including administrative tasks.
• Maintain clear communication with supervisors and coordinate security measures as needed.

Required profile

• Secondary education (any related field).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics, fleet management, field operations or related areas.
• Fluency in Portuguese; knowledge of English, French or local languages is an asset.
• Demonstrated professionalism, discretion and ability to work with diverse cultural backgrounds.
