National Education Forum Consultant – Guinea-Bissau

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a senior consultant to lead the organization of the National Education Forum in Guinea‑Bissau. The consultant will work remotely for four months, supporting the design, preparation and delivery of the forum in close collaboration with government, development partners and UNICEF’s Centre of Excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop the overall concept and agenda of the National Education Forum.
• Coordinate with technical and financial partners, government counterparts and UNICEF COE to ensure alignment of objectives.
• Manage logistics, stakeholder engagement and communication for the forum, including national and international participants.
• Facilitate sectoral coordination among government, donors, civil society, private sector and beneficiaries.
• Provide regular progress reports and recommendations to UNICEF Guinea‑Bissau.

Required profile

• Advanced university degree in Education, Economics, Social Sciences, Public Policy, International Development or related field.
• Minimum 10 years experience in developing and implementing education programmes.
• At least 8 years experience working in a development context, preferably in fragile settings.
• Proven experience organizing national or international forums.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate diverse stakeholders in Guinea‑Bissau.
• Experience with United Nations or similar international organizations is desirable.
• Fluency in Portuguese; working knowledge of English or French is an asset.
